Peter Wagner attended the University of California, Davis and was a student of theatrical arts. He was gifted at all matters pertaining to the presentation of live performances.
While attending the University he met Dickie Peterson and Paul Whaley. Jerry Russell and Eric Albronda along with Dickie asked Peter to join Blue Cheer and thus is considered a founding member. He had exceptional artistic ability especially with words and as a result was called upon by Dickie to co-write quite a few of Blue Cheer's original songs, especially on the first two records.
Peter Wagner stayed and helped with the management of Blue Cheer through all the first six records and thus earned his founding member status. He was at all times responsible for all the equipment, on stage and off. Dickie and Peter Wagner were inseparable for many years and Peter's devotion to Blue Cheer was without equal.
Peter Wagner returned to New York to try his best at writing and was pursuing his interest in writing Comic Books when he died in 1997. He is remembered as a true and gifted friend to Blue Cheer and is in every way responsible for their success.
